This is a one-year, non-resident (remote) position. It is specifically designed for early-career professionals who want to deepen their expertise in demography, reproductive justice, or environmental advocacy without quitting their current job or studies. With a substantial stipend of $10,000 and funded travel to the United States, this is a prestigious opportunity to expand your professional network.
Scope of Work: What Will You Do?

- Output: You will work with senior staff to produce a written or multimedia product that supports Population Connection's mission.

- Virtual Board Meetings: Attend two Zoom meetings of the Board of Directors (February and October 2026).
- Washington D.C. Trip: Attend the June 2026 in-person board meeting in Washington, D.C.
- Note: Population Connection covers all costs for this trip.
- Retreat: Participate in a 3-day staff retreat following the board meeting.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
Population Connection encourages international applicants to apply. However, there are strict ideological and experience requirements.
1. Experience & Education
- Work History: Must have 3–10 years of work history in relevant fields.
- Education: An Undergraduate degree is required. You do not need a PhD, though graduate students are welcome.
- Fields of Interest: Population studies, demography, sexual/reproductive health and rights (SRHR), justice, or the environment.
2. The "Must-Have" Requirement
- Ideological Alignment: Applicants must fully support comprehensive reproductive health care and rights, including access to safe and legal abortion. This is non-negotiable.
Compensation & Benefits

- Travel: Fully funded travel to Washington, D.C. for the in-person meeting.
