The Urban Justice Center (UJC) is seeking highly motivated problem-solvers for its renowned Sex Workers Project (SWP). They are looking for Immigration Legal Interns to join their team in New York City.
SWP is a pioneer in the field, being one of the first programs in the country to focus on the rights of sex workers. This internship is perfect for law students or legal advocates committed to advancing the rights of immigrant sex workers and survivors of human trafficking. The role offers a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with in-person collaboration at the NYC office.
Interns will work under the supervision of experienced immigration practitioners. You will not just be doing research; you will be directly involved in casework.
This role requires specific language skills and cultural competence due to the sensitive nature of the work.
Do not wait for a specific deadline; positions are filled as suitable candidates are found.
