UNICEF Australia is looking for a proactive and curious student to join their Performance, Growth and Insights Team in Pyrmont, NSW. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector while working with one of the world's most recognizable charity brands.
As a Digital Performance Intern, you will not be fetching coffee. You will be directly involved in the engine room of UNICEF's fundraising efforts, working on Paid Media and Email Marketing campaigns that raise vital funds to protect vulnerable children globally.
What Will You Do?
You will work alongside content creators, designers, and marketing experts. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Paid Media & Strategy
- Support the strategy, planning, and execution of Paid Media campaigns.
- Analyze campaign performance to optimize results and ensure real impact.
2. Content & Email Marketing
- Write and manage engaging email content.
- Conduct audience research to tailor messages effectively.
- Monitor email performance metrics (Open rates, Click-through rates).
3. Research & Insights
- Conduct Competitor Analysis and market research to inform future campaign planning.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver data-driven outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
UNICEF Australia is looking for students who need industrial placement experience.
1. Academic Requirement (Crucial)
- Degree: Must be currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Course Credit: The internship must be credited towards your degree requirements. (This is a standard requirement for many Australian internships to comply with Fair Work laws).
2. Skills & Traits
- Analytical: Ability to interpret data and optimize campaigns.
- Creative: Innovative thinking and ability to create engaging content.
- Digital Savvy: Awareness of current trends in digital marketing (Social Media, SEM, Email).
- Passion: An interest in humanitarian aid and international development.
Logistics & Schedule
- Start Date: March 2026.
- Duration: 10 Weeks.
- Schedule: Flexible, but the team prefers candidates available on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
- Work Mode: Hybrid environment (Balance between home and the Pyrmont office).
