Gusto, a leading platform providing payroll, benefits, and HR services to over 300,000 small businesses, is seeking a Legal Intern for the Summer of 2026. The position is based in Denver, Colorado, operating on a Hybrid schedule.
This is a high-paying opportunity (up to $45/hr) specifically designed for 1L Law Students. It is not a traditional law firm internship; you will be working In-House at a fast-paced tech company, exploring the intersection of law, artificial intelligence, and product compliance.
Key Responsibilities
You will work across disciplines, partnering with Product Counsel and Commercial Counsel. Your duties will include:
1. Substantive Legal Work
- Broad Exposure: Research, draft, and advise on topics spanning Privacy, AI, Advertising, Employment, Intellectual Property, and Product Compliance.
- Impact: Tackle real projects with real business impact, translating complex legal issues into practical guidance.
2. Innovation & AI
- Legal Tech: Help design, test, and refine AI-assisted workflows that make legal processes more efficient.
- Operations: Contribute to innovation projects that push the boundaries of what a tech-forward legal team can achieve.

- Law Students: You must be a Current 1L student at an accredited law school.
