Internship Overview & Key Details

Role Responsibilities: What Will You Do?

As a Security Planning Intern, you will play a key role in preparing for major upcoming events. Your work will directly support the safety and efficiency of the region's infrastructure. Your core duties will include:

• Major Event Planning: You will support operational planning and data collection for 2026 major summer events, coordinating with Chief Security Officer (CSO) units.
• Security Asset Mapping: You will conduct on-site reviews to map out physical security infrastructure, such as cameras, access control points, and barriers across facilities.
• Data & Dashboards: You will create dashboards and charts to track crime stats and security assets.
• Automation: You will help build automated workflows (using Power Automate) to streamline monthly security reports.
• Financial Operations: You will assist in organizing materials for federal reimbursement submissions.

Eligibility and Requirements

The Port Authority is looking for analytical thinkers who handle sensitive information with integrity. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

Mandatory Qualifications

• Enrollment: You must be currently enrolled at a college or university.
• Major: Preferred fields include Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related discipline.
