Role Responsibilities: What Will You Do?

As a Production Assistant at NASA, you will help capture and transfer critical institutional knowledge. You won't just be editing videos; you will be preserving space history. Your core duties will include:

• Event Production: You will coordinate Subject Matter Expert (SME) lectures. This involves securing recording studios, managing props, and setting up lighting and furniture.
• Video & Quality Control: You will assist in filming and editing video productions. You will also review presentation charts and biographies for quality.
• Archiving: You will help locate, index, and archive historical space-related hardware and electronic records.
• Outreach: You will communicate with other NASA centers and divisions to share knowledge and advertise events.

Eligibility and Mandatory Requirements

NASA internships are highly competitive. To qualify for this specific role, you must meet the following criteria:

Mandatory Qualifications

• Citizenship: You must be a United States Citizen.
• Academic Status: You must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior).
• Age: You must be at least 16 years old.
• Availability: You must be available for a full-time work schedule onsite in Houston during the summer.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software (Premiere, After Effects, etc.).
• Prior experience assisting in producing and editing video productions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
