Company Description NubAbility Athletics Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth with limb differences to participate in mainstream organized sports. Based in Southern Illinois in the town of Du Quoin, NubAbility offers coaching from high school, collegiate, and professional athletes who inspire confidence and courage through sports. Beyond in-person events, NubAbility provides mentorship, custom sports instruction, public speaking, and anti-bullying programs, including their self-authored "Bully Proof PE" program. The organization collaborates with partners like the Never Say Never Foundation and Amputee Blade Runners to meet the holistic needs of limb-different youth athletes. Role Description This is an on-site internship role located in Tamaroa, IL. As a Summer Intern, you will assist with event coordination, support the execution of sports programming during camps, and engage in administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations. Responsibilities will also include coordinating communication with campers, athletes, and families, conducting outreach for potential partnerships, and participating in the development of marketing and promotional materials. This role provides hands-on experience with a meaningful mission to empower youth through sports. Qualifications Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Experience or interest in event planning, sports management, or nonprofit operations Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of athletes, families, and volunteers Proficient in using standard office software and tools, with basic understanding of marketing or social media platforms A passion for sports and a commitment to empowering youth with limb differences Previous experience working with youth programs or non-profits is a plus Reliable transportation and the ability to work on-site in Tamaroa, IL
