Program Streams

For the 2026 cycle, fellows can apply to one of two specialized streams, depending on their background and career goals:

• International Development Management (IDM): Focuses on health, education, rural development, and civil society. Placements may involve research, project management, communications, or monitoring and evaluation.
• International Microfinance and Microenterprise (IMM): Focuses on market development and financial services. Fellows work with microfinance institutions or market development units to support entrepreneurship and economic growth.

Eligibility Criteria

This program is specifically for Canadian nationals. To apply, you must meet the following strict requirements:

• Citizenship: You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Age Limit: You must be 30 years of age or younger as of February 1, 2026.
• Education: You must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (recognized institution) by April 30, 2026.
• Commitment: You must be available for the full 9-month program (Training in Canada + Overseas Placement) starting in Spring/Summer 2026.
