What is the Purpose of the Fellowship?

The fellowship is designed to foster collaboration within the V4 region (Visegrad Group). It allows academics to move across borders to:

• Conduct a concrete research project.

• Study specific materials available in public archives or libraries.

Eligibility Criteria

This is a specific program with strict citizenship and academic requirements. Please check if you qualify:

• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, or Ukraine.
• Academic Status: You must be either a full-time doctoral student or hold a doctoral degree (PhD).
• Cross-Border Rule: You cannot use this fellowship to stay in your own country. You must travel to a different V4 country. (e.g., A researcher from Poland can apply for a stay in Czechia, Hungary, or Slovakia).
• Physical Presence: The fellowship must be conducted in person. Remote work is only allowed in exceptional cases with strong justification.

Funding and Payment

The financial support is generous and simple. Fellows receive a scholarship of €500 per week. The payment is made in two installments:

• 80% is paid at the beginning of the fellowship.
• 20% is paid after the final report is approved.
