Role Responsibilities: What Will You Do?
As a Compliance Intern, you will play a vital role in mitigating risk and ensuring the bank adheres to strict ethical rules. You will collaborate regularly with teams based in NYC (like the Whistleblowing and Personal Account Dealing teams). Your core responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring Ethics: You will support the monitoring of Professional Ethics rules, including Outside Business Activities (OBA).
- Screening: You will perform conflict of interest screenings and assist with weekly notifications regarding "sensitive employees."
- Controls & Testing: You will assist with assigned permanent Professional Ethics controls and Marketing Integrity checks.
- Database Management: You will ensure the list of sensitive employees remains up-to-date and complete.
Eligibility and Mandatory Requirements
BNP Paribas is looking for meticulous students with sound judgment. However, the most critical requirement for this Montreal-based role is language proficiency. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
