Internship Overview & Key Details

Role Responsibilities: What Will You Do?

As a Legal Intern at Lincoln Center, you will not be limited to a single area of law. You will assist the department with a wide range of matters that keep the center running. Your core responsibilities will include:

• General Counsel Support: Work on legal matters related to programming, media, fundraising, education, and information technology.
• Coordination: Help coordinate the work of summer associates from outside law firms who are handling pro bono assignments for LCPA.
• Project Management: Assist in the development and implementation of original projects designed for LCPA, collaborating with outside firms based on your specific areas of expertise.

Eligibility and Preferred Qualifications

Lincoln Center is looking for students with a genuine interest in the arts and a strong legal foundation. While specific requirements are broad, the following areas of law are highly relevant to the work:

Preferred Profile

• Education: Preference is given to 1L (First-Year) Law Applicants.
• Legal Knowledge: Familiarity or interest in Contract Law, Copyright/Media Law, Labor Law, Real Estate, Tax, or Data Privacy is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong legal research capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within a team are essential.
