Position Announcement This is an exciting opportunity for a student who finds joy in creative opportunities at the intersection of theatre and education. The department of Secondary Education is seeking a student who will help develop theatre programming for secondary schools in Utah and conduct research alongside implementation. The student will be a co-creator in developing curriculum and programming with an emphasis on using speculative fiction for student growth and learning. Expected to work 10 hours a week. Summary Of Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Gathering, compiling, cleaning and/or entering data Assisting with transcription and/or coding of qualitative data Assisting in programming, coordinating, and conducting survey research, focus groups and other data collection efforts Cleaning and analyzing data Assisting in producing, cleaning, and analyzing data files And producing summaries of data from data sets. Assists with department’s social media posts and digital signs Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications Must be a current UVU student Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Good verbal and written communication skills Good telephone, email, and customer service skills Attention to detail Professionalism Organizational skills Computer skills (Internet, Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Good work ethic/self-motivated Ability to be a team player Ability to interact and communicate in person and on the phone with college students Willingness to try/learn new things Knowledge of Facebook and Instagram and other social media
