The University of Bath is delighted to offer up to 300 Bath International Excellence Scholarships for high-achieving students joining an undergraduate degree course in September 2026. These prestigious awards are designed to support overseas students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to contributing to the university community.

The scholarship acts as a tuition fee discount and is awarded based on a combination of academic performance and answers to specific application questions.

Compensation & Financial Benefits

This scholarship offers significant financial support in the form of tuition fee discounts:

• Annual Value: £8,000 discount on tuition fees for each full-time year of study.
• Total Value: Up to a maximum of £24,000 over three years.
• Placement Years: If a course includes a placement year, the discount typically applies to years 1, 2, and 4 (years of full-time study).
• Specific Courses: For BSc Architecture and BSc Business (with half-year placements), the discount is split: £8,000 in years 1 and 4, and £4,000 in years 2 and 3.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following strict requirements:

• Student Status: Must be a new first-year applicant assessed as an overseas fee-paying student.
• Admission Offer: Must hold an offer for an undergraduate degree at the University of Bath starting in September 2026.
• Exclusions: This scholarship is not available for the March Architecture degree (it is available for BSc Architecture).

Your application will be assessed based on your overall academic profile (from UCAS) and your answers to three specific questions (750-character limit each):

• How will the scholarship benefit you and help you achieve your future ambitions?
• How do your accomplishments and skills make you a good candidate?
• How will you contribute to the Bath community and act as a future ambassador?

The application form launches on Thursday, 8 January 2026 via the Bath Application Tracker.

• Application Deadline: Thursday, 25 June 2026.
• Notification Dates:
  • Apply by 1 April 2026 → Hear by 30 April 2026.
  • Apply by 14 May 2026 → Hear by 28 May 2026.
  • Apply by 25 June 2026 → Hear by 9 July 2026.
