What Will You Do?
Unlike academic fellowships that focus on independent research, the Scoville Fellowship is a job placement. You will work as a full-time junior staff member at one of the participating organizations (such as Global Green USA, ReThink Media, or the Alliance for Nuclear Accountability). Key Activities: Writing articles, blogs, and factsheets. Organizing conferences and attending coalition meetings. Analyzing defense budgets and policy data. Advocacy work related to nuclear nonproliferation, climate security, and conflict prevention.
Eligibility Criteria
This program seeks the next generation of policy leaders. To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: You must have a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) by the time the fellowship starts. Graduate study is a plus but not required.
- Citizenship: Preference is given to U.S. Citizens. However, foreign nationals currently residing in the U.S. are eligible to apply. (Non-U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. are not eligible).
- Experience: Prior experience with public-interest activism or advocacy is highly desirable.
- Availability: You must be able to work full-time for at least 6 months.
